Above are all my logo designs throughout my working experience. Not the best out there yet. The designs were heavily influenced by the different company nature that I worked for then. During my earlier jobs, my designs were more prone towards brush-like strokes and more artsy. Later to that, when I was more exposed to the branding design trends, I played more with geometries and typeface. Treviso logos are one example.
I find logo creation is the hardest to work on as any logo will carry the most meanings that define the entity or product. Hence, emphasis to make it right is always the heaviest. And once done, it will be this very icon that will be duplicated over and over again on other designs from the same entity.
I was trying to play with typography design, but for some reason this turned out to be quite plain. Sometimes looking at other fellow designers’ works can be inspiring as much as they are intimidating.
(Check out Typography Served to know what I mean.)
Well, here is my first try. The text uses Illustrator to draw them out, while the rest of the effects are done in Photoshop. Pretty straightforward. I’m sure most designers can catch that.
