When I worked on this artwork, I was experimenting on combination of Photoshop and Illustrator. I find that by using the best out of these 2 different applications do help a lot of final artwork. The possibility just seem endless. You may find the usage of Illustrator 3D and text, with Photoshop filters and brushes in this piece.

MojiKan.com initially was tied to TMNet for the character, Moji, as iTalk Buddy mascot. During that period I was assigned to design the newsletter for the iTalk Buddy. The general idea is to use the Moji character in the design without jeopardising the concept of iTalk Buddy being hip and trendy towards target market of teens to young adults (as you may have seen, the Moji character may project a kiddish attribute). I came out with 2 designs mainly in changing the header banner.

MojiKan.com uses a lot of 3D characters for its promotional and web items. Since it will be painstaking to generate all images as 3D content, only the characters will be created using 3D while the surrounding images are touched up using Photoshop.

The characters are generated by another 3D animator, passed to me and I uses other stock photo elements to mix and match to create suitable environment. I used lots of image transformation, blur filter, blending mode and adjustment layers to get the shade and light correct.
