Initially, this font type was created simply for a logo design (you may find the logo in on of my logo posts). I grew quite fond of the ligature elements of the logo so I decided to create a full type face out of it. However, due to the design of this type face, I find that if each alphabet is laid out in the matter of “A, B, C, etc” it will not look as nice. Hence, I figured I should “type” them out in a phrase and best phrase will be a pangram. Check here if you does not know what is a pangram.
As you can see this pangram is slightly different than the common one that we used to read. This phrase is used in the card game Magic: The Gathering. I use this one just for the sake that I like it.
The design is inspired from the typeface used in one of Palacio de Bellas Artes (Spanish for Palace of Fine Arts) 1951 poster prints. This whole pangram is drawn using Illustrator.
NOTE: The distinction between font and typeface is that a font designates a specific member of a type family such as roman, boldface, or italic type, while typeface designates a consistent visual appearance or style which can be a “family” or related set of fonts. For example, a given typeface such as Arial may include roman, bold, and italic fonts.
